School of Transportation Information Engineering

Located in the Yuanhu and Kunlun campuses of GTVTC, or in the urban area with convenient accessibility, the School of Transportation Information Engineering is an important training base for cultivating talents in intelligent transportation information technology for the Guangxi transportation sector, with more than 4200 students currently enrolled. With outstanding advantages such as national backbone majors, national practical training bases, national productive practical training bases, Guangxi center talent training bases of comprehensive transportation big data application technology under national engineering laboratory, Guangxi high-quality majors and demonstration characteristic majors, and autonomous region teaching masters, the school boasts one of the largest information technology professional groups in Guangxi, and the quality of talent training, vocational skills competitions, and other educational achievements are among the top in counterparts in the region.

The School of Transportation Information Engineering has a highly educated "dual qualification teacher" teaching team with "refined business skills and outstanding teaching performance". Among them, the proportion of senior professional titles is 26%, 81% have a graduate degree or above, and 72% are "dual qualification " teachers. One teacher has been awarded a provincial-level teaching master, one national level technical expert, four provincial-level technical experts, and 35 provincial-level education science planning experts and new generation information technology experts. There are also 32 industry certified teachers, including Huawei certified experts, Cisco certified experts, Huawei lecturers, system analysts, and network planning designers.

The school has made remarkable accomplishments in professional construction, with 9 majors and directions including computer application technology, computer network technology, electronic information engineering technology, animation production technology, communication technology, big data technology and application, digital media application technology (graphic design), digital media application technology (in graphic design under Sino-British partnership program), and intelligent transportation technology. It is a key construction major and professional group at the autonomous region level. There are currently one national level high-quality online open course, two autonomous region level high-quality courses, and one autonomous region level professional teaching resource library; One national level textbook and two autonomous region level textbooks for the 14th Five Year Plan; 12 high-quality textbooks and 4 monographs published nationwide independently or with partnership with Huawei and other companies;66 educational and scientific research projects have been approved at or above the department level, including 2 at the national level, 16 at the autonomous region level, and 48 at the department level; 2 national invention patents, 13 utility model patents, and 28 software copyrights are granted;1 second prize of national teaching achievement award, 1 special prize, 1 first prize, and 2 second prizes of autonomous region teaching achievement award are awarded; as well as 21 first prizes, 32 second prizes, and 42 third prizes in national skill competitions, and 336 awards at or above the municipal level.
