On November 22, 2023, the awarding ceremony for the "Laos National Vocational Standards Co-construction Project" was held in the conference room on the 5th floor of the management building of the Kunlun campus of the College. Zhao Xiaohua, Deputy General Manager of Wuhan Central Group Co., Ltd., and his delegation delivered the results of the Laos Vocational Standards Co-construction project on behalf of the Vocational Education Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos to the College. College’s President Li Wenyong, Xie Jun, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Xie Jun, Deputy dean of the School of Automotive Engineering, and Ma Sai, Deputy dean of the School of Economics and Management attended the ceremony. It was presided over by Huang Gang, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office.

At the ceremony, Dr. Benson Hammonti, President of the Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, made a video speech and gave an overall introduction to the "Laos National Vocational Standards Co construction Project", pointing out that in the future international exchanges, we should give full play to the advantages and characteristics of China's vocational education, strengthen vocational education cooperation with countries along the "the Belt and Road", and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents to help countries' development in the idea of co construction, sharing, exchange and mutual learning, and win-win cooperation. Subsequently, Zhao Xiaohua, Deputy General Manager of Wuhan Central Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation Group Co., Ltd., on behalf of the Vocational Education Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, sent a thank-you letter to president Li Wenyong and issued certification certificates to the teachers who participated in the standard construction, fully expressing gratitude and recognition to the school.

In order to improve and perfect the occupational standards and vocational education system of relevant industries in Laos, the Lantsang-Mekong-China Education and Training Promotion Alliance has been commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos to help Laos introduce Chinese vocational education resources and standards. Through consultation and consensus with the management departments of the Lao government, the "Laos National Vocational Standards Co construction Project" has been implemented. This year, various colleges of the College actively participated in the application, and through the project review and defense held on May 20th, three projects were finally approved: Intelligent Logistics Technician IVET4 (independently developed), Housing Construction Technician IVET2 (participated), and New Energy Vehicle Technician IVET3 (participated). After several months of discussion, development, and demonstration, we finally obtained official certification from the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, which was incorporated into the national vocational education system in Laos.
