From 30 June to 6 July 2019, Ms. Nongnit Wangtrakul, former vocational education officer of Thai Ministry of Education, led foreign guests from Lampang Vocational College, Tinsulanonda Fisheries College, Satun College of Agriculture and Technology, Bankhai Technical College and Nakorn Si Thammarat Seaboard Industrial College visited GTVTC, and conducted an on-site visit of college’s practical training bases for a better understanding of our strength of scientific research and discussed about China-Thailand Vocational Education Joint Program of cultivating personnel of international technical skill type.
On 2rd July, a forum about cooperation was held in the conference room on 5th floor of Management Building in Kunlun campus. Vice Principal Chen Haifeng, Liu Cunxiang, assistance of the Principal and directors of International Affairs Division, College Administration Office, Enrolment and Employment Division, Road and Bridge Engineering Department, Automobile Engineering Department, Management Department, Information Engineering Department, Construction Engineering Department and General Studies Department attended the forum.
Vice Principal Chen gave a brief introduction to the basic information and international education philosophy of GTVTC and expressed his expectation of this first cooperation with Thai vocational colleges. He hoped that both sides could innovate the mode of vocational education joint program and cultivate personnel of international technical skill type together. Faculty and students from Thailand are always warmly welcomed to communicate and study in GTVTC, and are expected to compose a more brilliant chapter for the friendship between China and Thailand with us. Delegation from Thailand expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and willingness of building communication platform and starting vocational education joint program with our college. 5 Thai vocational colleges signed the framework agreement with us after the forum.
Vocational education delegation from Thailand visited the logistics training lab, rail transport training lab, automobile training lab, road and bridge teaching workshop, navigation training lab and information training lab, thought highly of them and expressed their willingness of sending students here for practical training.
