On October 8, the opening ceremony of 2021 international students of our college was held in Room 707, Information Building,Yuanhu campus. The principal Li Wenyong, the heads of the ASEAN International School, the Administration Office, the Student Affairs Department (Division), and the Academic Affairs office, as well as more than 70 international students from Laos, Indonesia, East Timor and other six countries who enrolled in 2021, attended the opening ceremony. Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the opening ceremony was conducted online and offline.

Principal Li Wenyong extended a warm welcome to the freshmen from ASEAN countries, introduced the overall situation and development process of our college, and put forward three hopes for the students: to be a doer of the unity of knowledge and action, an emissary of cultural exchange, and a promoter of jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Dean Mo Xiaonong said that the ASEAN International School will provide students with a good learning platform. She hopes students can cherish the precious opportunity to study in China and make achievements with the expectation of meeting them in Nanning as soon as possible.

Natalia Goretti Ramos Pinto, the representative of freshmen from East Timor, expressed her expectation for the life of studying abroad in GTVTC, and said that she had prepared for online learning in special periods, and would cherish time and study hard.

Sohail Ahmad, a student representative from Pakistan, shared with the freshmen his mental journey and achievements since studying in GTVTC for two years, and encouraged everyone to persevere, study hard, and work with Chinese and foreign students to build and maintain a beautiful college.
