ASEAN International School Held the Opening Ceremony of "Belt and Road" International Transportation Cloud Study Tour

      To deepen international exchanges, help talent cultivation, and highlight the characteristics of school running, ASEAN International School is scheduled to hold the "Belt and Road" International Transportation Cloud Study Tour from September 19 to 30, 2022. On September 19, the opening ceremony of the cloud study tour was grandly opened in the virtual simulation training room of ideological and political education. President Li Wenyong attended and delivered an opening speech. Leaders from ASEAN International School, Academic Affairs Office, Youth League Committee and others attended the opening ceremony.

       President Li Wenyong congratulated on the success of the cloud study tour, and said that the college would take this activity as an opportunity to give full play to the location advantage of Guangxi as an important gateway for the organic connection facing ASEAN and the "Belt and Road” countries, to further deepen the cooperation and exchanges in vocational education between China - ASEAN and the "Belt and Road" countries, and put forward a plan for the construction of the-China-ASEAN vocational education community and contribute its strength. He urged the students who participated in the cloud study tour to cherish the opportunity, enthusiastically participate in discussions, actively express opinions and suggestions, engage in in-depth interactive communication, reach consensus, form resonance, gain knowledge and friendship. Dr. Wahyudi, Center Director of SEAMOLEC, and Dr. Yusaporn of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi(KMUTT), Thailand, attended and delivered guest speeches online, pointing out the broad prospects for cooperation between China and ASEAN in the field of transport, and wishing this cloud study tour great success.

      This cloud study tour, as the "second classroom" activity of the Transport College, focusing on cutting-edge hot topics in international transport fields such as urban road transport, new energy vehicles, logistics supply chain, and invited outstanding professors and scholars from Belarus, Poland, Hungary, Indonesia, Thailand, and other countries to deliver wonderful lectures. According to the course themes, the school selected 116 outstanding students from the School of Road and Bridge Engineering, the School of Automotive Engineering, and the School of Economics and Management to participate. The event will also organize student representatives from Transport College and ASEAN student representatives to conduct discussions on "skills and life”online, broaden students' international horizons, and showcase demeanor of Transport College students.
