Meet "on the Cloud" and Return with Fruitful Results
Belt and Road International Transportation Cloud Study Tour of ASEAN International School ended successfully
On September 30th, the 12-day "Belt and Road" International Transportation Cloud Study Tour officially came to an end. Huang Gang, Deputy Dean of ASEAN International School, Yan Li, Vice President, and Lin Bo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the college, attended the closing ceremony and presented commemorative certificates to 116 students who participated in the cloud study tour, and Dr. Wahyudi, Center Director of SEAMOLEC, attended the closing ceremony online.
Deputy Dean Huang Gang delivered a speech at the closing ceremony, fully recognizing the students' learning performance during their cloud study tour, and particularly praising their generosity and confidence in overcoming language barriers and engaging in academic exchanges with professors from various countries. He hoped that students would continue to enhance their self-confidence in their future study and life, and create a better life with skills; embrace the world in their future development and make friends all over the world with sincerity.
Director Wahyudi delivered the closing speech, and sent the message that Chinese youth and the youth of the world work together to create a world full of laughter, win-win cooperation and solidarity.
Wang Yongkang, a student from the School of Road and Bridge Engineering, spoke as a student representative of the cloud study tour. He said that the students had an eye-opening experience during their cloud study tour, such as the inspiration of Thailand's Green New Deal to China's new energy vehicle manufacturing industry and logistics industry, and the influence of European road traffic design and planning ideas on road and bridge engineering. The integration of interdisciplinary professional knowledge has opened up new cognitive doors for students.
It is learned that this event has further enriched the "Second Classroom" system of Transport College, allowing students to spend 12 days traveling around the "Belt and Road" countries online, having face-to-face communication with professors from Belarus, Poland, Hungary, Indonesia, and Thailand on hot topics in international transport, and engage in thinking collisions with ASEAN youth representatives on "skills and life". The students expressed that they hoped to participate in such activities more often, to further expand their horizons and to be high-quality vocational and skilled talents with an international outlook.
