In order to deepen the international students' knowledge of the college's majors and stimulate their learning motivation, on April 3, 2023, the ASEAN International School organized the international students of class 2022 to carry out the first phase of the professional cognitive and practical activities at Kunlun Campus of our college. Through advance communication and careful arrangement, the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Road and Bridge Engineering, the School of Civil and Architectural Engineering and the School of Economics and Management arranged a professional cognitive and practical feast for international students, which was highly targeted and attractive, and demonstrated the school's strong school-running strength and high-quality teaching conditions.

Under the leadership of Xia Ming, Lin Tugan, Chen Dedeng and other teachers of the School of Automotive Engineering, students visited the Ford, Nissan, Volkswagen and other order class training room and automobile shaping training room in turn, and learned about the training mode, teaching methods and employment direction of automotive talents in the school. In the training room of new energy vehicles, based on understanding the basic curriculum system of new energy vehicles, students carefully observed the structure of new energy vehicles, personally experienced the convenience and comfort of smart connected vehicles, and exchanged views with students majoring in new energy vehicles on the development of new energy vehicles industry and personal career planning. The automobile industry, especially the new energy automobile industry, has broad prospects for development. Lemuel Karl (Jiang Yulong) and TING LOVANXAY (Tingting), international students from Indonesia and Laos, said that their determination to choose to study new energy automobiles was strengthened through their understanding. They believe that when they return home after completing their studies, their country's new energy vehicle industry is also in need of a large number of technical and skilled talents. They hope to contribute their own efforts to the development of the local automotive industry after returning home.

In the teaching workshop of the School of Road and Bridge Engineering, Mr. Wu Zhangxu and Mr. Pan Qiuyu gave a detailed introduction to each teaching site from foundation to pavement, from culvert to railroad track, , intuitively showcasing the components and the entire construction process of highway bridges. When they learned that the bridge above the teaching workshop not only connects the dormitory area and the teaching area, but also serves as a teaching bridge, the students couldn't help but marvel at this way of teaching that combines the profession with actual production and life. The teachers also taught the international students how to use the total station and let them operate the instrument by themselves to participate in the measurement, which enhanced their sense of participation and further strengthened the international students' understanding of the road and bridge specialty. Nhunweng (Yan Wenneng), an international student from Cambodia, said that he should study his professional skills seriously and devote himself to the construction of transportation infrastructure in Cambodia after returning home.

    In the School of Civil and Architectural Engineering, Vice Dean Wen Ganxiang showed international students around the training rooms and teaching bases of the college, and introduced the overall situation of the School of Civil Engineering. Professional teachers showed international students the operation of relevant measuring instruments and unmanned aerial vehicles, especially the unmanned aerial vehicles (which can fly 200 meters high and 15 kilometers away), which left a deep impression on international students and made them realize that the integration of advanced technology and specialty has to some extent changed production and work methods, and will continue to promote the professional development.

At the logistics training base of the School of Economics and Management, Ms. He Ting introduced the relevant knowledge of logistics and the related processes of logistics warehousing to international students. Students from the Logistics Association showed how to drive a forklift to carry out operations. Encouraged by the teachers, the international students soon mastered the operation skills of forklift under the guidance of the students of Logistics Association. Teacher He Ting introduced that forklift operation is one of the basic skills of logistics company employees. Although it may seem simple, it needs students to exert their craftsman spirit and practice diligently to operate accurately and quickly. In the cross-border e-commerce training room, Chinese students were engaged in real training activities in the real task mode, and the product pages being created aroused great interest among the students. After introducing the relevant knowledge of e-commerce major, Teacher Liu Xiao provided detailed answers to the questions raised by international students, which made them full of expectations for joining the major.
