On April 3, 2023, our school organized Phase I professional cognition practice activities on the Kunlun Campus for international students of class 2022, which achieved ideal results and left a deep impression on the international students. To continue to deepen the international students' understanding of our college's majors, on April 10, 2023, our school organized international students of class 2022 to carry out Phase II professional cognitive practice activities at the Xiangsihu Campus and Yuanhu Campus of our college, and made in-depth visits to the School of Navigation Engineering and the School of Transportation Information Engineering.

       In the School of Navigation Engineering, Deputy Dean Zeng Zhiwei led the international students to visit the training base for navigation specialty, the comprehensive training base for marine engine and the exhibition hall for maritime culture. In the virtual simulation training room of ship steering in the training base of navigation specialty, Deputy Dean Zeng Zhiwei introduced the cultivation mode of navigation talents in our college and the direction of their work after graduation as well as the lucrative salary. Under the guidance of teachers, students also personally experienced the simulated navigation of ships in Sydney Harbour and Wuhan. Compared with the first-generation products, the college's third-generation virtual simulation training room has a stronger sense of immersive reality, and some students even felt "seasick". In the comprehensive marine engine training room, Dean Zeng Zhiwei explained the job responsibilities of the marine engine shift and the functions of each equipment to the international students in detail, so that the international students had a preliminary understanding of the marine engine room. In the exhibition hall of maritime culture, Mr. Wen Xiaodong popularized shipping knowledge to international students and introduced the development history of Guangxi shipping.

In the School of Traffic Information Engineering, Mr. Sun Jian introduced the overall situation of the School of Traffic Information Engineering, and led the international students to visit various training rooms and teaching bases. In the interior decoration design training room, Chinese students are carrying out simulated practical training activities, and the animation models being produced have aroused great interest among the students, who stopped to watch and ask the teacher some relevant questions. In the digital media technology (graphic design) training room, Teacher Luo Yuan gave students a detailed explanation of various works and product development processes in the studio, allowing international students to have a certain understanding of cultural creativity. Mr. Luo Yuan encouraged the students to communicate more with Chinese students and also welcomed them to practice in the digital media technology training room to promote the exchange and integration of their own cultures and Chinese culture through cultural creativity. Mr. Luo Yuan also presented international students with notebooks designed and made by Chinese students based on Donglan culture.

Through two phases of professional cognitive practice activities, international students have gained a more comprehensive understanding of various schools and majors in our college, and a deeper understanding of our strong educational strength and high-quality teaching conditions.
