On June 7, 2023, an online proposal meeting was held for the "Laos National Vocational Standards Co-construction Project". The relevant team members of the School of Economics and Management, the School of Civil and Architectural Engineering and the School of Automotive Engineering of our college participated in the meeting on the first floor of the management building, marking the official implementation stage of the Laos National Vocational Standards Co-construction Project.

In order to improve and perfect the vocational standards and vocational education system of the relevant industries in Laos, Lancang-Mekong Vocational Training Promotion Alliance was entrusted by the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos to help Laos to introduce Chinese vocational education resources and standards, and decided to implement the "Laos National Vocational Standards Co-construction Project" through consensus with the management departments of Laos. This project is in line with the current work direction of the college's "Western reference, Chineses integration and Eastern transmission" vocational education internationalization development model of integration of production and education. All schools actively participated in the declaration and attended the project evaluation and defense meeting on May 20th. In the end, three projects of our college were approved, including intelligent logistics technician IVET4 (independently developed), housing construction technician IVET2 (participation), and new energy vehicle technician IVET3 (participation).

The meeting explained the project progress arrangements, project development requirements, etc. According to the requirements of the organizer, the school will strengthen communication with Laos, accurately learn the vocational education and industrial development in Laos, develop vocational standards that reflect the level of China's vocational development and meet the actual needs of Laos, and seek deeper international cooperation through joint projects.
