On Nov 11-13, the 1st SCO Countries Vocational Skills Competition, which is initiated by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, sponsored by People's Government of Shandong Province, organized by Weihai Municipal People's Government, Department of Education of Shandong Province, Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province and implemented by Weihai Vocational College, was held in Weihai. International Affairs Division and Automobile Engineering Department work together to select outstanding student and faculty team to take part in the competiton. After effort-taking training, they won the third prize in this competition. It was the first time for GTVTC to take part in international vocational skills competition and to win the prize.  

About 2000 contestants formed 51 teams to take part in this SCO Countries Vocational Skills Competition, including contestants from Tsinghua University, Amur Transportation College, Russia, and other colleges.
