On August 31, 2023, the Forum on the Internationalization of Vocational Education in the Land Sea New Channel was held in Guiyang. The event focused on the national strategy of the Western Land Sea New Channel and actively explored the internationalization of vocational education. Representatives from domestic and foreign vocational colleges, institutions, enterprises, and industry associations attended the forum for in-depth communication and exchange on the internationalization of vocational education. The first batch of UNESCO Vocational Education Center South Asia Center's "Development of Digital Economy Vocational Standards for Developing Countries" (DEVES) and Sri Lanka's Digital Economy Vocational Standards (NVQ DEVES) dual certification project construction units have been announced. As one of the construction units, the College has been awarded the license.

The list of project construction units was announced

This project was authorized by the South Asia Center of the UNESCO Centre for Vocational Education to be implemented and certified by the Sri Lanka Vocational Education Commission and the Organization for the Revitalization of Developing Countries (ODER). The occupational standards developed by the project are reviewed and certified by the Sri Lankan National Vocational Education Commission, incorporated into the Sri Lankan National Vocational Education System, and certified by the UNESCO Vocational Education Center South Asia Center. After the dual certification of occupational standards, additional projects will be initiated to promote and certify them in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Nepal.

The College, based on the construction needs of the project party, combined with the professional characteristics and actual situation, recommended the School of Civil and Architectural Engineering to apply for the construction of vocational standards for construction engineering technology. After evaluation, the College was ultimately approved for two projects, Building Construction Technology L5 (as the leading unit) and Building Construction Technology L6 (as the participating unit), and was recognized as the project construction unit.
