On April 20th, the first Guangxi International Student Guangxi Traditional Ethnic Games, hosted by the Foreign Student Education Management Professional Committee of the Guangxi Higher Education Association, successfully concluded at Guangxi Normal University (Guilin). The College's representative team has performed outstandingly among the 29 participating teams, achieving a good result of winning one championship and one runner up in the fierce competition.
In the men's three person skate racing event, although the College's representative team was once in a backward position, they were not impatient or impatient, and through the team's tacit cooperation according to their usual training rhythm, they ultimately turned the tables and won the championship, doubling the excitement of the game.
This competition features four traditional ethnic sports, including sneaker racing, shuttlecock (flower ball), throwing embroidered ball (basket embroidered ball), and dragon racing. According to the competition requirements, the College has sent a total of 8 international students to form a participating team, representing the College in individual and team competitions in some projects. The Sports Teaching Department has assigned teachers to guide pre competition training. During the preparation period, the athletes encouraged and supervised each other, making full use of their spare time to practice every day. Some athletes also insisted on completing training tasks in the event of injuries, demonstrating the spirit of perseverance and never giving up in sports competition. After a period of training, they not only improved their individual project level, but also became more and more harmonious in team cooperation, and their friendship continued to deepen during the training. Although the training was tough, the result of this competition is the best reward for their training.
This sports meet is not only a competitive feast, but also a platform to enhance friendship and promote cultural exchange. Our international students not only demonstrated their superb skills in the competition, but also met excellent students from different countries and regions, enhancing friendship and understanding between each other. By participating in traditional ethnic sports projects in Guangxi, students have gained an understanding of the local culture and customs of Guangxi, which has increased their interest in learning about traditional Chinese culture.
